CITY GOVERNMENT
Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, is one of the youngest cities in Texas. Incorporated in 1988 with less than 1750 residents, it has grown to nearly 5,000 residents while maintaining its small town character. It is one of those rare cities that truly believes in minimum government - only what the citizens want and only when required.  


SCHOOLS

The Boerne Independent School District is a highly regarded school system in which students consistently score higher than the national average on standardized tests. An elementary school, Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary, opened in 1995 within Fair Oaks Ranch for Kindergarden through 6th. Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary is rated Exemplary and was named a National Blue Ribbon school in 2000. For more information go to www.boerne-isd.net.


MEDICAL FACILITIES

The world renowned South Texas Medical Center is about 20 minutes South of Fair Oaks Ranch. The Methodist Boerne Emergency Center is about 10 minutes North of Fair Oaks Ranch. There are many doctors of all specialties in Fair Oaks Ranch, Boerne, and San Antonio.


POLICE

Police coverage is provided 24 hours a day, everyday of the year, by Fair Oaks Ranch.


FIRE

Two fire stations are located in the city, operated by the Leon Springs Volunteer Fire Department.


EMS

The City of Fair Oaks Ranch contracts with Acadian Ambulance Services to provide emergency medical services. For 911 emergencies, an ambulance will be dispatched along with LSVFD First Responders and the FOR Police Department.
